Bio – Susan Harper

Consul General of Canada in Dallas, United States

Susan Harper has served as Consul General of Canada in Dallas since November 2022, representing the Government of Canada across Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. She has held several senior diplomatic and trade positions, including Consul General in Miami, Canada’s Senior Arctic Official, and Minister (Economic Affairs) at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, D.C. Her diplomatic career also includes serving as Canada’s Ambassador to Uruguay and postings in Cameroon, France, and Argentina. Ms. Harper holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and an Honours BA in Mathematics and English from Queen’s University.
