Bio – Oscar Garza

Oscar Garza is the Director of Government Relations for ERCOT, where he oversees legislative relations and public policy on issues affecting the Texas electric grid. With nearly two decades of experience at the Texas Capitol, he has held leadership roles in government affairs, state budgeting, transportation, education finance, and legislative strategy for both the Texas Senate and House. Before joining ERCOT, he managed state government affairs for AEP Texas and served in several key legislative and policy advisory positions. A South Texas native and graduate of Texas A&M University, Oscar lives in Austin with his wife and two sons.
